Well, it is a first… An XXL guitar that was on loan to a local professional guitar player has been returned. The guitar ordered by this player being completed… It has some dings and small bumps but is overall in very good condition.

Voici la première guitare XXL usagée à vendre. Il s’agit d’une guitare qui a été utilisée pendant quelques mois par un guitariste professionnel de Montréal. La guitare commandée par ce guitariste étant prête… Elle a quelques signes d’usure dont une égratignure sur un côté.

Jeff discovered us at the first edition of the MMMIS (WWW.MMMIS.CA) and bought his first XXL right there.  A U2 with humbuckers and a sunburst finish.  He then became a regular at the workshop and asked us to make a U2 guitar with a “Sparkle” finish.  After some experimentation, we did a silver sparkle instrument using very big flakes hand applied onto the wet finish.  The knobs on this guitar are store bought dices that we “transformed”…

Jeff is very pleased with this instrument and asked me to make him a third one with a P-90…  in fact, he is already thinking about the fourth one…  a double-neck!!!  Can’t wait to draw this one…  stay tuned!

Rick Haworth a pris possession de sa XXL-027 la semaine dernière et s’est empressé de l’essayer au spectacle de Michel Rivard à Ste-Thérèse du 8 avril 2006. La XXL-027 est une U2, couleur “cognac burst”, dotée de 2 Pick-ups P-90 de Seymour Duncan. Il s’agit de la première XXL ayant un trémolo “Bigsby” mais surement pas la dernière… Rick semble adorer son nouveau jouet…!!! Des photos seront publiées bientôt de Rick en action avec sa XXL.
